Mitchell Wiggins provides a career path that establishes your role in public accounting and helps you develop relationships with co-workers as well as clients.

Training

When you join our firm, you’ll work with other staff accountants as well as managers and partners who will guide you on your way. We have a dedicated CPE coordinator who helps you receive annual training as well as on-the job training with associates. With both audit and tax clients, you’ll have an opportunity to learn more about each specialty.

150 Credit Hours

Working towards your credit hour requirement for the CPA exam? We’ll help you with tuition reimbursement.

Career Opportunities

Unlike many other firms, you will have the opportunity to work in all areas of public accounting. You will work in both audit and tax while serving a wide variety of industries. Along the way, you will be eligible for career advancement while developing working relationships.

Paid Overtime

We’re one of the few accounting firms that pay an overtime premium. You’ll work overtime typically during tax season with minimal overtime during other times of the year.

Culture

Our open door policy allows access to partners and your associates. You’ll enjoy your own office space and business casual dress.

Community service is supported based on individual interest. Our firm supports community events during the year for all of its team members.

Engage Leadership Program


Have you ever wondered how you might use and accounting degree? Our Engage Leadership Program offers you a day-in-the-life of a public accountant. Our program offers real life examples of technology, client interaction, commitment to community and company culture that can be a vital part of an accounting career. It highlights the difference between being in a core team versus a worker in a large accounting environment offering you a real comparison to determine your best career path.

Eligibility requirements: Majoring in Accounting, receiving an undergraduate degree in 2019, 2020 or 2021, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 

When:  Monday, July 15, 2019

The program will include the following sessions:

  • Client interaction
  • Your first year in Auditing & Tax
  • Technology as an accounting tool
  • Discussion panels
  • The importance of company cultures
