Engage Leadership Program

Have you ever wondered how you might use an accounting degree? Our Engage 2020 Leadership Program offers you a day-in-the-life of a public accountant. Our program offers real life examples of technology, client interaction, commitment to community and company culture that can be a vital part of an accounting career. It highlights the difference between being in a core team versus a worker in a large accounting environment offering you a real comparison to determine your best career path.

Eligibility requirements: Majoring in Accounting and receiving an undergraduate degree in 2021 or 2022.

David first learned about the accounting field as early as eighth grade.  A career fair at a local high school left quite an impression and his love of math and desire to become a businessman made the path clear.  At James Madison University, David’s choice was reinforced by excellent accounting and business training.  David serves as partner-in-charge of firm recruiting and is an alumna of James Madison University.

Carman started college pursuing a degree in marketing but after excelling in Principles of Accounting decided to pursue a career in accounting.  Her favorite part of being a CPA is getting to work on a variety of industries, from non-profits to car dealerships to financial institutions. She is an alumna of Longwood University and regularly visits campus for recruiting alumni mentoring.

Eligibility Requirements:
The internship is available to those currently majoring in Accounting, receiving an undergraduate degree in 2020 or 2021, and who haven’t already accepted a full-time job offer after graduation.
